Olympic Story

This newspaper inspired one of my Stories. For my Voxpop, I decided to base my story on this newspaper article on the Olympics, my Voxpop is where myself and my group asked local people what they think should be done about the Olympic Stadium.
I am a keen and avid sports fan so I initially wanted a sports story incorporated in my newscast. Another reason why I wanted a story based around the Olympics, because I had the opportunity to watch a few games at the Olympic Park, but also had the chance to enter the Olympic Stadium, TWICE! :). Being part of East London, I was fully involved with the Olympic spirit and therefore it felt obligatory that a story about Olympians and the park itself should be mentioned.
The article by Dave Brown highlights that people would have to wait four years until they can step foot in the Park. There are talks that West Ham Football Club are being considered to take on the stadium and turn it into a football pitch. This story evokes many emotions as local residents may not approve of this and may want other things to happen, therefore we thought it would be good to get their views as this topic can create a lot of controversy.
